After exhausting all of the Star Trek and Babylon 5 episodes, a friend of mine, Denny Dailey, convinced me to start watching StarGate. Because it's on the SciFi channel virtually EVERY day, it wasn't hard to catch up with the story. The characters and the acting make up for the somewhat weak story line. Atlantis, the StarGate spin off, shows a lot of promise as well.
